The Phi Beta Delta Honor Society is back at Wayne State University.
Phi Beta Delta recognizes the advancement of scholarly achievements
in International Educational exchange from around the globe.
We welcome all faculty, staff, administrators, and students (U.S. and international) who meet our scholastic requirements. Our local
Epsilon Beta Chapter located at Wayne State University is currently seeking
applicants. The application deadline for Fall 2004 Induction is October 28, 2004.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Phi Beta Delta
International Honor Society then please click here to download out an application. When you fill out the application, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader (click here to get it) and access to a printer.
If you do not meet the scholastic requirements, but would like
to be involved, we welcome you! Although you will not be considered
an "official member," you will be invited to participate
in all of our international activities. Please fill out the same application and check the box for participants.
Membership requires a $25 induction fee, $15 yearly national membership
fee, and a $10 yearly local chapter fee.
Phi Beta Delta recoginzes high scholastic achievement of international and U.S. students, staff faculty & staff. Students may be nominated for membership by faculty or staff or may apply directly.
must have demonstrated active involvment in international endeavors such as teaching courses with international focus, overseas teaching, conducting reaserch overseas and/or research on international topics, participating in overseas projects, administering study abroad or exchange programs, program develop,emt, or providing courses ot services in international students and scholars.
must meet the credit hour and grade point average requirements and must have studied abroad or conducted research abroad or have had a comparable international experience and/or have been actively involved in promoting international understanding through their extracurricular (outside the classroom) activities at Wayne State University or in other academic settings.

Credit Hour Requirements
Juniors and Seniors with a minimum of 12 credit hours earned at WSU prior to their induction into chapter membership are eligible to apply. Graduate Students must have earned a minimum of 8 credits. Exchange students who have outstanding academic records at their home institutions are not subject to the minimum credit hour requirement.
Grade Point Average Requirements
- Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.2.
- Graduate applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5,
based on credits earned at WSU.
Note: Individuals with international experience of merit differing from the conditions specified above may also be considered for Membership.
