George Dorset is a Graduate MIS student of the Interdisciplinary Studies Program of CULMA studying Interdisciplinarity and Business Administration. He completed his Bachelor’s of Technical and Interdisciplinary Studies Degree in 2004.
George recently completely a study abroad class that focused on Innovations in America and China. This class included a 17 day study trip to China including a comprehensive exchange of information program with Zheijang University in Hang Zhou, China. The class also interacted with high ranking corporate officials of several successful Chinese based businesses involved in global markets. The visits and meetings with Zheijang University Instructors and Hang Zhou businesses officials served the purpose of integrating cross-cultural business models and practices involving innovations.
George also works fulltime for WSU as a Construction/Project Manager for Facilities Planning and Management. He has been in the field of Maintenance and Construction Management for 25 years.
George enjoys family, working, the pursuit of knowledge, global and international business affairs, golf, gourmet cooking and travel.
She works for the entertainment section of WSU’s student
newspaper, The South End, writing movie, CD, and concert
reviews. She also interviews actors and musicians for the paper.
Upon graduation, Larissa plans to work in the journalism field
before attending graduate school to gain a Master’s in Popular
Culture.
Tami Renner graduated with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After working in the Registrar’s Office at both the University of Sioux Falls and the North American Baptist Seminary in Sioux Falls and for the ATHENA Foundation in Michigan, Tami returned to school to receive her Master’s degree.
She completed her Master’s in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education at Michigan State University in June 2004. Upon completing her degree, she began her job at Wayne State University as an international student and scholar advisor.
Tami has traveled to Belize, Central America and completed her student teaching in New Zealand. She has also traveled extensively in the United States and hopes to see more of the world in the future.
Amberly Chirolla works for Study Abroad & Global Programs department
for WSU. She holds a Master's degree in International and Area Studies
from Brigham Young University. She has lived and traveled extensively
in the Near East and Latin America.
Amberly has worked as an economic development consultant in Washington
D.C. and in Amman, Jordan. Her projects included global strategic
planning and training in the microfinance
and banking industry, as well as evaluation of community-based
economic development programs in the Middle East.
She has also worked in Costa Rica, where she managed a diverse
staff of Americans, Costa Ricans, and Jamaicans. She brings her
passion for intercultural understanding and
communication to Phi Beta Delta as chapter coordinator and treasurer.
Dr. Marc Rosa is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Bilingual/Bicultural
and Language Education Programs for the College of Education.
He is originally from Puerto Rico.
