  • This program travels to Germany and Poland
  • Learn about international business first-hand while experiencing the cultural and social environments of some of the world's most interesting cities

China: Global Business Experience
China: Global Engineering Experience - Cross-Disciplinary Global Engineering Program at ZJUT
  • Four week summer program focusing on global engineering, cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary and team-based creative engineering problem solving
  • Target levels are sophomore to 1st year M.S. engineering students (all engineering majors)
  • Tri-continental (U.S., China, and Scotland) global engineering program with focus to promote social responsibility, creativity, leadership, and problem-solving skills through solutions of real-world engineering problems with global impacts
  • Students will also attend free-of-charge language/cultural classes (courtesy of ZJUT)
  • Free room and board at ZJUT
  • WSU Course to register: 4 credit EGR 5995 - Special topic: Cross-cultural global engineering and problem solving. No special prerequisite required. Satisfies technical or directed elective towards graduation in respective engineering major.

China: Global Experience in Engineering at Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology
  • Six week summer program focusing on engineering
  • Open to undergraduate and graduate students of WSU College of Engineering
  • Students will do on-site field research while improving their Chinese language skills
  • Courses available: 1 Credit directed/research course

China: Human Neurophysiology & Its Application in Medical Robotics
  • This is a six week summer program that travels to Nanjing, China.
  • Courses offered: BME 5995 and EGR 5995
  • The program is open to junior and senior level undergraduate and first-year graduate students. 
  • The course will be taught in Nanjing Medical University in Nanjing. Students will also travel to Beijing, Xi-An, Fuzhou, and Shanghai in China to tour robotics labs/ hospitals.

  • Travel for two weeks to China this summer.
  • Learn about international business first-hand while experiencing the cultural, social, and political environments that impact international business.
  • Gain deep insights into international businesses in China.

China: Summer Service and Learning in China
  • A summer, service-oriented program in Beijing and its rural provinces
  • This program focuses on teaching English in impoverished communities
  • Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply

Cuba: Anthropology in Santiago de Cuba & Havana
  • Students travel to Cuba for a three week program in Summer 2015
  • The program focuses on cultural, historical and social realities of this Caribbean country
  • The program is open to WSU and non-WSU undergraduates and graduates

  • Students will travel to Ghana for one month.
  • This program explores the emergence of cities in sub-Saharan Africa, and traces major themes in the history of urban Africa.

  • Opportunity to experience Italian culture through the study of Italian theatre and

Italy: Wayne in Abruzzo
Japan Summer Homestay
  • Spend two weeks with host families for this Japanese language immersion program
  • Students will explore various cities in Japan and experience contemporary Japanese culture.
  • Undergraduate and graduate students who have completed JPN 1010, JPN 1020 or with instructor approval are eligible to apply

Korea: Konkuk University International Summer Program
Mexican Culture and Politics: An Applied Field Research Course
  • Student will take a 3 credit PS 5999: Special Topics: Mexico/Applied Field Research
  • Participants will be traveling to Mexico City and Oaxaca.
  • The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
  • The course design combines intensive study of Mexican history and politics with instruction in qualitative field research methods.
