Junior Year in Munich — Germany


Sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts, the Junior Year in Munich is America’s oldest academic year abroad program in Germany. Students who are selected to participate in the Junior Year in Munich become part of a distinguished academic tradition, and join the more than 3,500 students from 500 colleges and universities across the U.S. who have made the Junior Year in Munich their premier program of choice since 1953.

JYM is open to all majors. Two years of college-level German or its equivalent with a “B” average are required for admission to the Junior Year in Munich. Coursework completed in Munich counts towards WSU degree requirements; all instruction is in German. Qualified students enrolled in the dual-degree program in German and Mechanical Engineering have the option of an overseas internship while participating in the Junior Year in Munich.
