How do I get started?

Choosing a Program:

So you are interested in studying abroad but you don't know where to start, here are some things to take into consideration:

Q: How long do you want your study abroad program to be?

A: With Wayne State you can be overseas for two weeks up to a year. We offer short term programs that take place during spring break, summer break and longer programs that last for the fall or winter semesters and even full year long programs.

Q: When do you want to go? Do you want to experience studying abroad as soon as you enter college or wait till the end of you academic career?

A: At Wayne State, students who are older than 18 can participate in most of our programs at any point while in college. This means that you can start as early as your freshman year studying across the world.

Q: Where do you want to go?

A: WSU offers programs in countries throughout the world. If you want to go there, we probably have a program for you. Click here to begin your search by country.

Q: What are your objectives? In order to narrow down your search, you may want to ask yourself what you plan to accomplish during your study abroad experience.

A: If you want to learn a new language WSU offers language programs in Mexico, Italy, Japan, France and Russia. If you want to experience a new culture you may want to apply for our spring break trip to Paris or our cultural experience through Poland. If you want to travel with your fellow Wayne State students we offer short term faculty lead programs full of WSU students just like you. No matter what, our programs offer plenty of different options to fit almost everyone's desired objectives.
